ChatGPP meets the IICRC

The restoration industry has never been keen to adopt emerging technologies. Partly because we didn't want to and partly because the tech we were given was bloated, unoriginal and expensive. That is changing. Companies like Sureti, Hover, Actionable Insights and Magicplan are proving that the industry will adopt things that make sense and are simple to implement. We at RestorationX hope to be classified in that same field.

We wanted to provide something useful and free so we got to thinking. What used too take up a ton of our time as project managers in restoration? The answer came quickly, training mitigation techs. With turnover rates in the industry being what they are, we looked to solve an issue that I'm sure you're familiar with:

Hire new mit tech > Train and certify him > Tech quits

All of that can happen in a few months and cost thousands of dollars in lost time.

Im not saying you dont have to be certified. You cant boil down advanced drying into a one sized fits all package.

(cough.. MICA cough...)

What it takes to dry my house is going to be different than what it takes to dry my neighbors and using a manufacturers recommendations does no one any favors. Dehumidifiers lose power over time. You lose AHAM rating within the first hour at a job site unless you're sitting there changing out filters every 4 hours.

I digress.

What ChatGPP can do is answer generalized questions on this industry and it has been validated by our own field experience.

That said, Im a resto guy and I was a criminal justice major in college so just be aware the chatbot needs refining. The only way that happens is by you asking it questions. Im looking forward to hearing all the feedback.
